My lilac lemonade

Ma limonade au lilas

During pick-your-own days and at parties with friends and family, I love creating original and different punches.

Hosting in grand style at my home is truly an element of pleasure and the opportunity to share and see my guests smile.

My lilac lemonade is particularly appreciated by adults and children alike.

It’s super easy to make and will create a nice surprise for your guests!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 cups freshly picked lilacs (more lilacs if you want a stronger, spicy lilac taste)
  • The juice of 8 fresh lemons or 2 cans of store-bought frozen yellow lemonades
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 lemon cut and 1 orange cut in the garnish
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 can of grapefruit-flavored sparkling water
  • Red & blue food coloring to make the lemonade a beautiful purple color (optional)
  • – You can add gin or bubbles to create an alcoholic lemonade –

Guidelines

  • Start by making the lilac simple syrup.
  • Add 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar to a small saucepan and bring to a low boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the syrup has reduced by half, stirring every 2-3 minutes.
Once reduced, turn off the heat, add the lilac flowers and mix.
  • Cover and let sit for an hour to cool (the longer your syrup sits, the more intense the lilac flavor!). Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a small bowl.
  • Add all the other ingredients.
  • Add lilac flowers for decoration 😉
  • Impress your guests and take photos of your beautiful lilac lemonade!!!!
